CORONATION STREET PREVIEW: WHAT'S IN STORE NEXT WEEK, EPISODE SYNOPSIS REVEALED

A look ahead to next week's episodes of Coronation Street, with a full rundown of each episode.


Monday 23rd February

Dev and Asha set off for a few days of dad and daughter time. As Roy sets off to the bank leaving Bernie alone with Mal, Mal seizes the opportunity by locking the café door and confessing his feelings. When Bernie rejects him, Mal's attention turns sinister, leaving her visibly terrified.


Later, Bernie is left thoroughly spooked after discovering someone has cut her head out of her wedding picture. Has Mal gone from admirer to tormentor? Bernie flees the house in fear.



Cassie remarks on Steve’s new bromance with Ben and how Tim’s going to be very put out. Having taken a call, Steve tells Cassie that his Dad’s landlord is demanding £1800 in unpaid rent and it would seem that his Dad put him down as a guarantor. Steve comes off the phone and tells Ben and Cassie that he’s spoken to one of Jim’s army mates and it would seem that his Dad is in hospital and not expected to pull through. 


When Jodie receives a text from Carl, she takes Shona’s advice and sends him a reply telling him to do one. Ignoring Ronnie's desperate warnings about Carl's manipulation, Debbie instructs him to transfer her son £2k. A furious Ronnie confides in Ed about Carl trying to bleed her white. Meanwhile, Jodie dismisses a frosty Carl, and as she heads down the street, she is unaware that she is being followed.


Tuesday 24th February

From a distance, someone watches Jodie, clutching a locket identical to hers. Toyah berates Jodie for failing to clear up David the dog’s poo and gives her a lecture. As Toyah heads off, Jodie casts her an evil look but she’s suddenly distracted by someone calling her name.



When Olivia appears, Jodie masks her unease. Olivia quizzes Jodie as to why she left and reminds her that she used to say how much she enjoyed looking after her and her brother. As Jodie struggles to find an answer, how will she get out of this? Later, checking the coast is clear, Jodie retrieves a box from the cupboard which reveals a new secret she’s been keeping… 


Bernie summons Mal and showing him the defaced wedding photo, accuses him of breaking in. Mal denies it but Bernie orders him to clear off back to Inverness or she’ll report him to the police. When Tracy reveals that Ken is looking for a good electrician, Roy immediately sings Mal’s praises, but when Bernie leaps in and warns her to steer well clear, leaving Roy baffled. 


Cassie urges Steve to visit his Dad, but Tracy disagrees and reminds Steve of all the grief Jim caused him. When Steve discovers he’s got a flat battery, Ben offers to drive him to the hospital. Ben pulls up in the hospital car park but Steve remains in the car and admits that whilst he knows it’s his last chance to see his Dad, he also knows he could be making a big mistake. Will Steve go through with it? 


Ollie invites Lauren for dinner at the bistro. Lauren’s thrilled whilst Maggie’s disapproving and in a thinly veiled threat, reminds her that she wouldn’t have a job if it weren’t for her. Will Lauren go ahead with her date? 



Wednesday 25th February

Bernie hears someone at the door and Fearful it might be Mal, Bernie picks up a golf club but is relieved to find it’s Kit, who she then confides in about her secret night with Mal and his subsequent torment. Mal later storms into the café and publicly rails at Bernie, forcing Roy to intervene and throw him out.


Dev and Asha return home in high spirits, but the question remains: will Bernie open up to Dev about what has been going on with Mal? Bernie fails to notice a passerby as she spells out to Mal that unless he stays away from her she will kill him. Mal laughs in her face and asserts that he’s not going anywhere.  


Shona treats Jodie to a pamper day to thank her for all her help. In the salon, Shona raises a toast to Jodie, while Maria and Bethany enthuse about David and Shona, labelling them the perfect couple leaving Jodie irked by the praise. Later, At No.8, an upset Shona wonders how on earth she’s managed to lose her wedding ring. 



At the undertakers, Christina makes a joke about George inveigling his way into clients’ wills and is left mortified to discover that Mrs Ripley, a potential client, overheard her. Adam reveals to George that Annie has hired him to contest her mother’s will and he’d be best to hire his own solicitor as soon as possible. When Christina meets up with Mrs Ripley, will she be able to put matters right? 


Ben invites Steve and Tim to join him at a County event, explaining that he got free tickets. Ben, Steve and Tim return to the Rovers in upbeat mood but leaving his phone on the bar, Steve heads off to play darts, unaware that his Dad is trying to call him. 


Thursday 26th February

At the station, Lisa tells Kit about a bloke who was found lying in the street with a head injury. Kit looks at the file and is shocked to recognise the name. Bernie descends the stairs with her bags packed. Kit calls at the hospital to find out more about Mal Roper’s injuries where the doctor explains that Mal’s in a critical condition. DC Browning enters the café and tells Bernie that he’s arresting her on suspicion of assault. Is Bernie guilty? 


David returns home to find Jodie with her arm down the back of the armchair. Jodie explains that she can feel Shona’s wedding ring, but it’s just out of reach and she needs his help. As David crouches down next to her, it’s clear Jodie’s enjoying their close proximity. Will David and Jodie find the missing ring? 


At the undertakers, George tells Christina he’s thinking of turning down the £10k from Annie’s mother’s will as it’s not worth the aggro, but when Christina points out that that would look like an admission of guilt, George sees her logic.



Soon after, Adam warns Christina that Annie is convinced she’s George’s co-conspirator and intends to sue the pair of them. Steve wakes up on the sofa in the Rovers’ back room after a skin full the night before.


Friday 27th February

Kit visits Bernie in her police cell who assures him of her innocence. Under interview, Bernie tells DC Browning how she spent a night with Mal, but only as friends and since then he’s been stalking and harassing her. Is Bernie telling the truth?


A man enters the undertakers and introduces himself as Damien, Mrs Ripley’s son. Damien thanks George for agreeing to oversee his Mum’s funeral, but as George and Christina see him out, Annie approaches and asserts that Shuttleworths are not to be trusted, Damien thanks her for the warning and vows to take his business elsewhere. 


In a bid to cause friction, Jodie deliberately sets up David to make Shona believe he hasn’t done the chores. In the café, a downbeat Shona confides in Bethany that she and David hardly get to see each other at the moment. Bethany has an idea. 


Steve tells Cassie that he’s going to forget about his Dad as he’s got everyone he needs; a lovely partner and a lovely daughter. In the cab office, Mary excitedly shares the news with Tim that Cassie’s planning a big surprise for Steve tomorrow…
