PILGRIMAGE RETURNS TO BBC TWO, FAMOUS FACES TAKING PART IN NEXT SERIES 'REVEALED'

Factual series Pilgrimage will return to BBC Two and iPlayer next year, with some of the famous faces taking part being revealed via The Sun newspaper. The BBC are yet to confirm the cast or the route.



Famous faces reportedly taking part in the next series include: The Traitors winner Harry Clarke; presenter Jeff Brazier; The Wanted singer Jay McGuinness; actress Helen Lederer; Paralympian Stef Reid and comedian Daliso Chaponda.



The latest series, which aired on BBC Two earlier this year, was titled Pilgrimage: The Road Through North Wales and followed seven celebrity pilgrims, as they take a personal journey along a route that celebrates Celtic early Christian saints, with Bardsey Island the fabled ‘Island of 20,000 saints’, just off the western tip of the Llyn Peninsula - as their final destination.


The celebrities who took part in the last series were presenter Michaela Strachan; reality star Spencer Matthews; journalist Sonali Shah; comedian Eshaan Akbar; The Traitors star Amanda Lovett; actor Tom Rosenthal and TV personality Christine McGuinness.
