Alison heads to Battersea Dogs and Cats Home to once again bring viewers heart-warming and inspiring stories from the residents. From high-energy pups needing a bit of training to senior residents looking for a quiet sofa, the new series promises the same blend of humour, tears, and tail-wagging triumphs as Alison immerses herself in the day-to-day life of the rescue centre.

 A TASTE FOR MURDER

Wednesday, ITV1

After the sudden death of his wife Sofia, DCI Joe Mottram (Warren Brown; (The Responder, Trigger Point, Ten Pound Poms) takes a sabbatical, hoping to reconnect with his teenage daughter Angelica (Beau Gadsdon). For Joe, a summer visiting family in Italy was meant to offer refuge and a chance to heal broken family bonds. His in-laws Chef Gennaro (Urbano Barberini) and Elena Da Vinale (BAFTA-winner Phyllis Logan) run a beloved seaside restaurant, and they welcome Joe and Angelica with open arms.

Thursday, Sky Atlantic

Prisoner follows Amber (Hoyle), a principled young prison transport officer tasked with escorting Tibor (Rahim), a trained killer and high-value inmate, to court to testify against his elite crime syndicate. When their convoy is brutally ambushed, she’s forced to put her life in his hands. As the sole survivors, handcuffed and on the run, they must race to reach their destination alive and on time.

Along the way, their uneasy alliance is tested as the syndicate closes in. Trust becomes a weapon and their shackled survival a moral dilemma, forcing Amber to confront how far she’ll go to protect what matters most.
