FALLING

Tuesday, Channel 4

Starring Keeley Hawes as Anna, a devoted nun, and Paapa Essiedu as David, a Catholic priest. Both are deeply committed to their work in the church and in their community. Neither are expected to fall in love.  But when they do, both are forced to wrestle with what it means for them, their vows, and their relationship with God. Falling is a witty, moving, contemporary romantic drama that is as honest as it is full of heart.

 SUSPECT: KATE McCANN

Wednesday, 5

In May 2007, three-year old British girl Madeleine McCann disappeared from her family’s holiday apartment in Praia da Luz in the Algarve, Portugal. It would become the most famous and heavily reported missing person case in modern history.

This factual drama begins three months into the search to find Madeleine. Portuguese Police have no substantial leads, no real evidence, and no arrests have been made. As international attention intensifies, they summon Madeleine’s mother Kate for a meeting. Unlike previous friendly interactions, this meeting takes an accusatory tone from the start. When Kate asks police why she is being treated this way, the answer is alarming: ‘because we don’t believe you’.

 KYLIE

Wednesday, Netflix

In this intimate three-part documentary, Kylie Minogue opens her personal archives and reflects on a life that captivates, inspires and soundtracks multiple generations. Leaning into a lifetime caught on home movie cameras, personal photographs and new interviews with Kylie herself, it also shows the woman behind the hits – and how she has faced public scrutiny, personal loss and illness with grit and grace, earning respect far beyond her own fandom.
