In remote West Cornwall they search for the chough, and hope for exotic wind-blown foreign visitors. They go on a ‘wild goose chase’ in north Norfolk and on the Somerset Levels they set out on a quest to find the elusive ‘booming’ bittern.
GRAYSON PERRY HAS SEEN THE FUTURE
Wednesday, Channel 4
Artist Grayson Perry heads for California on a mission to understand how Silicon Valley's booming tech industries are likely to shape the human future. His two-part journey begins in the Bay Area where he is assisted by an increasingly chummy chatbot.
He meets everyone from leading players in the industry to idealistic young start-up founders, as well as ordinary people who are adopting the latest innovations and alarmed critics of the direction AI is taking the world.
BERGERAC
Thursday, U&Drama
Bergerac is back, and, with Kim’s encouragement, has begun dating again, though he still feels Rachel’s absence and isn’t expecting much. That changes when he meets Nicola, a visitor to the island, and they instantly connect. Meanwhile, Charlie Hungerford has found romance with the lively Nigel. But just as things look promising, Bergerac is drawn into a new case: the groom at a wedding reception is found murdered in his hotel room. Someone at the wedding is a killer, and uncovering the truth leads Bergerac into a web of police corruption, buried family secrets, and major twists.
BIG MOOD
Thursday, Channel 4
It’s been nearly a year after the chaotic events of Series 1, and Eddie and Maggie haven’t spoken in all that time. As they re-enter each other’s lives, the series asks the question: can a friendship truly recover after a major falling out?
Maggie is a year into her recovery from lithium poisoning, and doing very sensible, un-Maggie-like activities to keep herself “stable” – something she’s desperate to be perceived as. But that hard-won stability is about to be seriously tested by Eddie re-entering her life.
