Gordon and Ashley are determined to move on from the embarrassment of Gordon’s ill-fated proposal at Megan and Rumi’s pop-up wedding. But when a chance encounter at a suburban GP clinic throws their plans for forward momentum off course, the pair are forced to confront their lingering baggage.

 THE NATIONAL TELEVISION AWARDS

Tuesday, ITV1

Britain’s most popular TV awards, voted for entirely by the public, are back this autumn. For over three decades, the public-voted National Television Awards have been the ultimate vox pop of the TV-watching nation. Hosted for the sixth year by the ebullient Joel Dommett, the star-studded event will be held on 8th September 2026 at The O2 London and broadcast live on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player.

 SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE UK

Saturday, Sky One

Saturday Night Live UK is back. Following its hit inaugural season earlier this year, the live comedy sensation returns to Sky and streaming service NOW on Saturday 12 September. The first six brand-new episodes will bring a fresh season of unpredictable, must-watch Saturday night television, with additional shows planned in early 2027.

Broadcast live each week, the series will once again welcome a different celebrity host and musical guest for every episode, alongside topical sketches, live music performances and a British take on the iconic Weekend Update segment.

 THE GREAT CELEBRITY POTTERY THROWDOWN

Sunday, Channel 4

Six celebrities, each with little to no pottery experience will brave the clay and take to the wheel in a series of bold ceramic challenges. The celebrities getting their hands dirty and unleashing their creativity are comedian, writer and actor Lucy Beaumont; comedian, writer, actor and author Fatiha El-Ghorri; comedian and podcaster Richard Herring; football legend and pundit Paul Merson; star of stage and screen Layton Williams; and actress, singer, dancer and presenter Denise Van Outen.

In a twist on the much-loved original format, there will be no weekly elimination, instead the six celebrity contestants will get to immerse themselves in the pottery studio, learning and developing their skills over five episodes under the expertise of judges Keith Brymer Jones and Rich Miller.

Sunday, ITV2

AJ Odudu and Will Best are back at the helm as a new group of strangers move into the nation’s most famous residence. Reimagined as a house of surprises, this year’s Big Brother house will keep Housemates on their toes with unexpected twists and game-changing moments around every corner.

Across an extended eight-week run, viewers can expect ambitious tasks, high-stakes nominations and dramatic live evictions as the Housemates face challenges at every turn in their bid to outlast their rivals, be crowned this year’s winner and take home a life-changing cash prize. Who wins? You decide.

 APOCALYPSE

Sunday, Channel 4

In this bold and ambitious social experiment, Channel 4 is sending a group of ordinary people to a jaw dropping, real world location - an abandoned town that bears all the hallmarks of being ravaged by an apocalyptic event. 

They'll have to survive for 28 days without running water, heating, or electricity. They'll need to scavenge for food and supplies, reusing and repurposing anything they find but only if they can muster skills and wherewithal to do it.

Dara Ó Briain once again presides over the fast-paced panel show, as some of the UK's funniest comedians take on the week's biggest news stories with rapid-fire wit, smart satire, outrageous punchlines and inspired silliness. Across hour-long episodes packed with fan-favourite rounds, the panel will find no shortage of material - especially with a brand-new Prime Minister in office.
