FORMER TOP GEAR DUO TO REUNITE FOR BBC ROAD TRIP SERIES
The BBC have reportedly commissioned a new travel series fronted by former Top Gear presenters Paddy McGuinness and Chris Harris, following Top Gear's 'resting' last year.
A source told The Sun: "This is a brand new travelogue show for Paddy and Chris. The duo will travel across Europe, using various modes of transport, visiting people to find the secrets to wellness and happiness - no stunts, no car reviews."
Freddie Flintoff was involved in a serious accident at the show's production base at Surrey’s Dunsfold Aerodrome in December 2022, following the accident he was airlifted to hospital with "facial injuries and broken ribs" and was "psychologically traumatised", according to reports.
A BBC spokesperson said: "Given the exceptional circumstances, the BBC has decided to rest the UK show for the foreseeable future. The BBC remains committed to Freddie, Chris and Paddy who have been at the heart of the show's renaissance since 2019, and we're excited about new projects being developed with each of them. We will have more to say in the near future on this...
"We know resting the show will be disappointing news for fans, but it is the right thing to do. All other Top Gear activity remains unaffected by this hiatus including international formats, digital, magazines and licensing."
Top Gear is available on BBC iPlayer.
