NICK ROBINSON SET TO CONDUCT BBC ELECTION INTERVIEWS

Former BBC Political Editor and host of the Today programme Nick Robinson is set to replace Andrew Neil as the presenter of the BBC's flagship interview series during the upcoming Election campaign.

Elsewhere, former BBC Political Editor Laura Kuenssberg and BBC News presenter Clive Myrie are set to join forces to anchor the BBC's UK Election night coverage later this year, The Sun reports.

The Sun reports that the BBC are eyeing a more 'American style' programme with a duo fronting the overnight coverage when the UK go to the polls later this year. The BBC have not yet announced any coverage plans.

Before then, Kuenssberg continues to front Sunday mornings on BBC One where she interviews key politicians and public figures and goes through the Sunday newspapers with a panel of guests.

Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg continues Sundays at 9am on BBC One.
