MY MUM, YOUR DAD: DATING SERIES TO LAUNCH IN THE UK ON ITV
The HBO Max format is coming to the UK as ITV commission local UK version of the dating series. Sweden and Australia are also making a local version.
The programme follows single parents who have been nominated by their adult children for a second chance at finding love.
The parents move into a luxury house together, unaware that their children are down the road living in a second house, watching their every move through hidden cameras and manipulating their encounters.
A teaser continues: From cringe moments to confessions, the kids will see their parents in a whole new light as they are presented with opportunities to select who they’ll be matched with on one-on-one dates, and who may join the family dinner for years to come.
ITV Studios' Arjan Pomper said: "We are extremely excited about My Mum, Your Dad. Growing to ten territories within a few months is exceptional. With this brilliant dating format travelling so fast, we are confident that many more audiences around the world will soon embrace it."
A source previously told The Sun: "Times change and the current generation in their 40s and 50s still care about how they look, are fit and healthy, into fashion and are ready to let their hair down...
"This show will give those who settled down young a second chance at love while they still feel in their prime. And, let’s face it, they know their minds, will be capable of intelligent conversation and are likely to be much more adventurous — all ingredients regular Love Island sometimes lacks."
The UK version will be produced by Lifted Entertainment and launch in 2023. More details will be revealed in due course.
