There is more mystery to come as 5 and AMC Global Media’s Acorn TV announce that much loved crime drama The Madame Blanc Mysteries is set to return for a fifth series.

Created and co-written by Sally Lindsay, the show is co-produced by Clapperboard (The Teacher, The Game, The Good Ship Murder) and Saffron Cherry Productions (The World According to Grandpa) alongside Acorn Media Enterprises who also serves as the international distributor, holding exclusive rights worldwide outside the UK and Northern Ireland. The series was ordered by Greg Barnett, Commissioning Editor for 5.

The Madame Blanc Mysteries Series 5 (7 x 60’) will return to the sparkling sunshine of St Victoire for another exciting series of antiques and mysteries.

All treasured regulars are returning; Sally Lindsay stars as Jean White, Steve Edge as Dom Hayes, co-writer Sue Vincent stars as glorious Gloria Beaushaw, Robin Askwith and Sue Holderness return as the delectable Jeremy and Judith Lloyd James along with Alex Gaumond as Chief of Police André Caron. Also returning once again are Tony Robinson as Dom’s Uncle Patrick, Paul Chuckle (Elliott) as Gloria’s dad Trevor, and Stephen Bailey, back to cause trouble as gangster John Marsden.

As Jean and Dom plan their wedding, nothing can prepare them for the unseen obstacles that crop up along the way.

Over the course of the series, a dead body in one of the shows iconic locations, Uncle Patrick hosts the pub quiz of the century at La Couronne, Judith and Jeremy face a heart‑wrenching dilemma, and the bodies continue to stack up when someone is found foaming at the mouth in St Victoire Theatre. We witness the full, fabulous wrath of John Marsden, and hold our breath to see whether Jean and Dom will finally make it down the aisle.

With even more mind‑boggling mysteries, murders and eye‑popping antiquities than ever before, The Madame Blanc Mysteries Series 5 will have you on the edge of your sun‑drenched seat.

Series 5 will be directed by Dermot Boyd, produced by Ursula Haworth, while Mike Benson, Dermot Boyd and Andy Morgan will serve as Executive Producers for Clapperboard, alongside Sally Lindsay and Caroline Roberts-Cherry for Saffron Cherry.

Sally Lindsay commented: “I’m absolutely thrilled that The Madame Blanc Mysteries is returning for a fifth series. The love and loyalty from our audience has been incredible, and we’re so grateful to everyone who keeps coming back to St Victoire with us. I’m endlessly proud of this amazing cast who bring so much joy, warmth and mischief to the show and series five is packed with sunshine, escapism and gloriously twisty mysteries. It’s lovely to be back, and we can’t wait to share another sun‑drenched adventure.”

Greg Barnett, Commissioning Editor, 5 said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be bringing the series back once again. Sally Lindsay and the team continue to deliver the perfect blend of suspense, sunshine and sentiment. Wedding bells are on the horizon, but will it be murder getting Jean and Dom down the aisle…?”

Don Klees, Senior Vice President, Programming, Acorn TV adds: “The Madame Blanc Mysteries is a perennial favourite on Acorn TV that delivers on all levels. We know our viewers will be just as thrilled as we are to make a return trip to St Victoire.”

Andy Morgan, Executive Producer, Clapperboard shared: “The Madame Blanc Mysteries is the gift that keeps on giving. Thanks to Sally and all of our brilliant team, series five promises to bring more excitement and even more guest stars than ever. Our hats are at the ready, as Jean and Dom plan their much-anticipated wedding, but we’ll have to wait and see if they make it down the aisle, as things are never straightforward in St Victoire.”

The series is currently in production in Gozo and Malta and is expected to air later in 2026 on 5.
