THE LOVE TRAP SET TO BE SHELVED BY CHANNEL 4

The Love Trap has reportedly been shelved by Channel 4, with no plans for a second series at this stage, TV Zone understands.

The eight-part reality dating series, which aired on Channel 4 in Autumn 2021, was presented by Joel Dommett and produced by Great Scott Media. The twist on the traditional dating format explored just how good we all are at spotting a genuine connection.

The Love Trap saw twelve women do all they can over a series of dates to win the affection of one single man. In a twist, only half of the women want to win the bachelor’s heart, the other half want to stay in the game to be one step closer to winning a big cash prize.

Successfully enticing our single man means they also avoid the elimination at the end of each episode when one suspected love trap will be dumped, quite literally, through the trap door.

Though Channel 4 have not confirmed whether the series will return or not, it's widely understood that the series is unlikely to be recommissioned by the broadcaster.

The Love Trap is available to stream on All4.
