LOVE ISLAND TONIGHT: FULL RUNDOWN FOR TONIGHT'S EPISODE, THURSDAY 3rd JULY

Love Island continues tonight on ITV2 and ITVX, here's a full rundown of tonight's episode...

THE CHEMISTRY IS STILL BUBBLING BETWEEN HARRY AND HELENA

Reflecting on Alima and Ryan’s shock departures from the Villa, Dejon and Harry have a heart to heart by the Mini Firepit.

Dejon tells Harry: “You and Shakira… I don’t know bro.”

“You don’t think she’s me?” Harry asks. 

Dejon says: “The way you are with Helena, that’s the H I know, but when you two [with Shakira] are together…”

“It’s not the same is it?” Harry says. “It’s not the same banter.”

Later, while sat with Meg and Dejon, Helena informs the pair: “I want to go to the Hideaway with Harry.”

Excited by this revelation, Meg and Dejon beckon Harry over. 

“Hideaway Helena wants to come out to play,” Meg tells Harry. 

Later, Harry and Helena speak alone in the Snug.

Referring to her desire to go to the Hideaway, he tells her: “that’s no good tonight… Because I’ve just taken four earfuls and if I go and do that it’s just another earful and it’s not a good sign.”

Helena notices: “You’re trying with her [Shakira] for a reason.”

Harry: “I do like her, but obviously there’s always going to be you at the back of my mind.”

He concludes: “I know I’m going to have to make a decision at some point but it isn’t today… just give me like a day.”

IS THE DOOR STILL OPEN FOR HARRISON AND TONI?

After coming to the realisation that he’s not ready for it to be over for him and Toni, Harrison wants to see if the door is still open for the pair following their conversation the previous day when she called it quits.

“I was wanting to know where your head is at and if you’re willing to give me another chance?”

She asks him: “why should I?” 

Harrison replies: “I’m ready to make the decision…”

Toni interjects: “So you're going to continue to get to know her [Helena]?”

“No,” Harrison assures her. “What we have is not worth throwing away… I’m willing to put in the work to win you back.”

Toni remarks: “I’ll believe it when I see it...” 

HEROES OR VILLAINS? THE SUPERMAN CHALLENGE SPARKS A SUPER SHOWDOWN

That afternoon, Harry gets a text:

‘Islanders, it’s time to embrace your inner Lois Lane and Clark Kent as you take part in a very special Superman challenge #CoupleSuperpowers #LookUp’

Donning their finest office attire and replicating the iconic Clark Kent and Lois Lane, the Islanders arrive at the challenge. 

The boys venture through a revolving door and on the other side each come out dressed as the mighty Superman. 

The aim of the game is for the Islanders to fly through the city, pair up with their Lois Lanes, and then lift and hold a steel girder overhead. While they’re holding it, their partner must grab a newspaper from underneath. Each newspaper has a headline like ‘Superman is Intellectual’ or ‘Superman is Humble’. Together, the pairs then decide which of the male Islanders they think have the most and least of that trait. 

Meg and Dejon choose Harry as the least honest and he accepts their decision much to Shakira’s dismay. Seeking the truth, she asks Helena to clarify what Harry has recently been telling her.

Tensions increase even more when it’s Yasmin and Gio’s turn and they choose Dejon as the least dedicated. 

Yasmin explains her reasoning: “I don’t feel like you’ve dedicated yourself fully to the whole experience. I hope you’ve only dedicated to getting to know one person…”

Dejon remarks: “I didn’t know when all of a sudden it’s become a problem wanting one woman.”

Yasmin continues: “There’s other girls in here like Billykiss who picked you to go on a date because she was obviously attracted to you…”

Meg interjects: “Well he clearly doesn’t want her.”

Billykiss: “Well he didn’t say that.”

And then to Dejon: “You say you’re open then when she’s not around you don’t act like you’re closed.”

Dejon reacts: “Please Billykiss, is this like your five minutes of TV or what? I don’t understand why you’re still going on.”

After some choice words between her and Meg, the exchange ends with Billykiss telling Dejon: “You don’t want to hear the truth which is why you’re feeling sour.”
