LOVE ISLAND TONIGHT: WEDNESDAY 24 JULY 2024

Here's a rundown of what happens on tonight's episode of Love Island, which continues on ITV2 and ITVX.

SEAN’S SWEET ROAST LEAVES A SOUR TASTE WITH JOSH

Following an eventful Love Island talent contest, it is clear Sean’s ‘sweet roast’ has left a sour taste in Josh’s mouth, as he pulls Sean for a chat about his comments. 

Sitting down at the Fire Pit, Sean begins by acknowledging: “Obviously after that, tension’s pretty high…” 

Josh says of being likened to a sour dummy: “I just felt like it was a little bit uncalled for. Ideally I’d have preferred for you to not make a comment about such a touchy subject” 

Sean admits: “I didn’t think it would spark this much of a reaction” 

Josh then says: “Honestly, if it’s a thing where this is you apologising, I don’t feel like taking it to be honest… I don’t think it’s sincere…I’m just fed up”

But as Joey and Ayo head over to intervene, will the two be able to squash things?  

JESSY & JOEY HEAD TO THE HIDEAWAY RETREAT

Following her win at the talent show Jessy receives a text inviting her to the Hideaway Retreat with Joey.

As Joey heads over to give Jessy a hug, he says: “I’m so buzzing, that’s so sick” 

As the two head off to spend some much-needed time alone, Jessy stuns Joey as she dons her red feather boa and black negligee. 

The following morning the two discuss life outside the Villa as Joey is keen for Jessy to head straight to Essex upon her return.

Jessy says: “You’ll make an Essex girl out of me.”

Is a move on the map for Jessy?

‘A COUPLE OF SORTS’ RETURNS 

The next day whilst relaxing in the snug, Jess receives a text which reads: 

“Islanders, it’s time to find out how the public ranks your relationships. #CoupleofSorts #PolePosition” 

Heading to the garden to take part in the day’s challenge, the Islanders are faced with a variety of poll questions including which couple is the hottest, which couple are the most vein and which are the most genuine, as they must attempt to rank themselves in the correct order of first, second and third position as voted for by the public. 

And it appears the public’s opinion ruffles a few feathers, as Matilda fumes at one of the results: “I’m not happy” 

But as the Islanders disagree on some of the categories, tension is rife. When discussing which couples are staying together to win, Josh says to Sean: “If you wanna talk about grafties when I could talk about Casa..” 

As Joey jumps in to defend Sean, he replies: “You’re going round in circles mate, it’s boring” 

And Josh says back: “You’re not listening! That’s the problem bro, it’s like talking to a wall” 

Mimii jumps in to say to Joey: “You’re actually a d*ckhead…you’re just p*ssing me off now” 

THE CHALLENGE TAKES A SHOCK TURN….

During the dramatic challenge, the Islanders are faced with their final question: ‘Which couple is least likely to work on the outside?’ 

As the Islanders take their positions on the podium, the results are revealed, with the shocked couple in first position saying: “I don’t agree, and I’ll prove you all wrong…” 

But before the Islanders can discuss any further, out of nowhere, they receive an unexpected text which rocks the Villa. But what will it say?
