LINE OF DUTY BREAKS RATINGS RECORD

The latest episode of BBC One drama Line Of Duty draws in record breaking viewers.



Episode 6, shown on Sunday 25th April, was watched by an overnight audience of 11m, with a 51.7% share of the total TV audience watching.


This overnight rating makes it the largest overnight audience for a BBC drama since Doctor Who: Voyage Of The Damned Christmas Special in 2008, which was watched by 11.7m viewers on Christmas Day.


The latest episode of Line Of Duty also surpassed Jed Mercurio's other drama Bodyguard, which draw in 10.4m viewers in September 2018.


Posting on Twitter on Monday, Line Of Duty writer Jed Mercuio said: "Thanks so much to everyone watching #LineofDuty6. The whole production team is thrilled and flattered by the amazing response."


Line Of Duty concludes this Sunday at 9pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
