LATE NIGHT MASH AXED BY DAVE AFTER TWO SERIES

UKTV have axed topical comedy show Late Night Mash after two series on Dave, it's been revealed. The series first aired in 2021 and its most recent series aired last Autumn.

Late Night Mash came to Dave after its predecessor The Mash Report was axed by BBC Two. Nish Kumar continued as host for the first series, before being replaced by new host Rachel Parris for the second series on the UKTV channel.

Each week saw Late Night Mash tap into the latest that the zeitgeist has to offer, with up-to-the-minute topical insights and fake news reports. Other comedians to feature on the programme included Ellie Taylor, Geoff Norcott and Steve N. Allen. Late Night Mash was produced by Zeppotron and was made with The Daily Mash website.

A UKTV spokesperson told British Comedy Guide: "We are all immensely proud of the show and it has been a pleasure being able to bring it to the Dave audience, however, we can confirm that Late Night Mash will not return for another series...

"We are hugely grateful to Rachel Parris, who made history as the first solo female host of a satirical news programme and who masterfully captained the cast of outstanding comics through the most recent series...

"And a massive thanks to Zeppotron for bringing Mash to us, we'd like to thank everyone involved in the show and we look forward to finding new ways to work together again in the future."

Previous episodes of Late Night Mash are available on UKTV Play.
