ITV SUMMER PROGRAMMING HIGHLIGHTS, NEW AND RETURNING TITLES REVEALED

The new and returning titles airing on ITV this Summer revealed.

 THE CHASE AROUND THE WORLD

The brand-new six-part series sees six pairs of contestants embark on a global adventure competition as they attempt to track down the biggest brains in Britain - all six of The Chasers - in undisclosed locations around the globe. Unravelling puzzles along the way, the winning pair will pit their knowledge against The Chasers in order to win a life-changing prize pot.

 COOKING WITH THE STARS

Produced by South Shore and co-funded by M&S Food, the 10-part cooking contest sees 12 celebrities go head-to-head in the kitchen as they attempt to go from passionate amateur cooks to restaurant level chefs. Each celebrity will be paired with an accomplished chef who will mentor and teach them to produce delicious dishes that will be judged by the other professional chefs

 THE DARK

The Dark, based upon GR Halliday’s debut novel, From the Shadows, stars Laura Donnelly (The Nevers, Sugar), as Scottish Detective Monica Kennedy and Mark Rowley (Trigger Point, Karen Pirie) as Detective Connor Crawford. When the body of a young man is found eerily staged in the idyllic Scottish wilderness, detective Monica Kennedy fears this is just the beginning of a terrifying campaign that will strike the heart of a rural community.

 VAN DER VALK

Marc Warren (Safe, Mad Dogs, Hustle) reprises the titular role of Commissaris Piet Van Der Valk in the fourth series of detective drama Van Der Valk which is filmed entirely on location in and around Amsterdam. The street-smart detective is once again joined by Maimie McCoy as Inspector Lucienne Hassell, Sergeant Eddie Suleman played by Azan Ahmed, Darrell D’Silva as team pathologist Hendrik Davie and Emma Fielding as Chief Commissaris Julia Dahlman.

 PROFESSOR T

Professor T returns for an explosive fourth season, with Professor Jasper Tempest once again using his unique insight and analysis to help the police solve a range of intriguing crimes in the beautiful university city of Cambridge. Six months on from season three’s devastating finale, dark clouds loom over the team. Consumed by grief, Dan dives headfirst into his work under the supervision of DCI Goswami who struggles to maintain order.

 G'WED

Reece (Dylan Thomas-Smith), Christopher (Jake Kenny-Byrne), Connor (Max Ainsworth), Ted (Dominic Murphy), Mo (Zak Douglas), Aimee (Amber Harrison) and Mia-Louise (Gemma Barraclough) all return. Series three is bolder than ever, tackling powerful, thought-provoking themes. It’s raw, relevant, and a comedy that refuses to look away.

 FORCES OF NATURE

Through dramatic, character-led storytelling, it captures nature’s resilience in the face of hurricanes, floods, droughts, and wildfires - showcasing both the ferocity of Earth’s forces and the ingenuity of animal survival. Urgent, heartfelt and inspiring, there has never been a more pressing and relevant natural history series. Award-winning actor, Andrew Lincoln will narrate the brand new ground breaking ITV series.

 LOVE ISLAND

 THE ONLY WAY IS ESSEX

Raising the temperature to boiling point, Series 37 of The Only Way Is Essex kicks off with an unforgettable trip to Vietnam for tropical sunshine and colourful culture, as the drama unfolds against breathtaking beaches, lush landscapes and the hustle and bustle of street life. The forecast ahead is anything but calm as the Essex crew navigate the trials and tribulations of their relationships and rivalries, and surprises are on the horizon with the arrival of some fresh new faces.

 THE PRINCESS DIARIES

Series one and two highlights included Princess’ catwalk debut at the Ibiza Fashion Festival, and an access all areas insight into Princess’ career as she sets about launching her own beauty brand.
