ITV SEPTEMBER PROGRAMMING HIGHLIGHTS, NEW AND RETURNING TITLES REVEALED

The new and returning titles airing on ITV this September revealed.

 TRIGGER POINT

Drama

Trigger Point returns for a fourth series, starring Vicky McClure who will reprise her role as EXPO Lana Washington. Produced by Jed Mercurio’s HTM Television, the series follows the success of series three that received a special honour when Her Majesty The Queen visited the Trigger Point set and met with the team to mark the start of ITV’s 70th year celebrations last year.

Recommissioned by ITV’s Director of Drama, Polly Hill, Trigger Point follows a team of bomb disposal officers, known as EXPOs, as they dedicate themselves to keeping the capital safe from explosive devices and terrorist threats

 THE BLAME

Drama

The Blame is centred around DI Emma Crane and DI Tom Radley investigating a tragic murder in the fictional town of Wakestead. They quickly identify their main suspect, but as the case progresses, an unexpected lead comes to light. As Emma and Tom dig deeper, they uncover a web of lies, institutional cover-ups and moral compromise, which forces Emma to question the people closest to her.

Part propulsive mystery, part social commentary, part love story, The Blame will tackle big questions around policing and will take an unflinching look at who we can really trust. Leading the cast is Michelle Keegan (Fool Me Once, Brassic) as DI Emma Crane. Douglas Booth (The Sandman, The Dirt) joins as DI Tom Radley, and Ian Hart (Mr Bates vs. The Post Office, The Last Kingdom) is DCI Kenneth Walker.

 THE BOX

A thrilling new entertainment format hosted by the legendary Gary Lineker that challenges ten celebrities from the worlds of entertainment, music, sport, and politics in an intense competition where they must step into the unknown. Enclosed in yellow boxes at secret locations across the country, the contestants must decipher a wide variety of intense physical, mental, comedic, and mischievous challenges, with minimal or zero guidance.

The pressure mounts at the end of each episode as two players face The Duel, a dramatic head-to-head challenge to avoid elimination. Promising a series full of grand reveals, mind-bending puzzles, and big twists, The Box will rigorously test how these celebrities cope when they are forced to face the unknown.

 THE VOICE UK

The iconic red chairs are ready to spin once again. Superstar coaches will.i.am and Sir Tom Jones return to the coaching panel, alongside reigning champions Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones from McFly, who made history last series as The Voice UK’s first-ever double chair. Also joining the line-up for Series 14 is international megastar Kelly Rowland, bringing a wealth of industry experience and a fresh new dynamic to the battle to find the next champion of The Voice UK.

At the helm once again is presenter Emma Willis, who will guide the singers through every high note, chair turn, and dramatic showdown as they ultimately battle to win a life-changing record contract with music giants Universal Music Group, £50,000 in cash, and a dream holiday to Universal Orlando Resort in Florida.

Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins return to host the series, where every prize won in the studio is also won by a viewer playing along at home – creating a true ‘win win’ for contestants and viewers alike.

Britain’s most popular TV awards, voted for entirely by the public, are back this autumn. For over three decades, the public-voted National Television Awards have been the ultimate vox pop of the TV-watching nation. Hosted for the sixth year by the ebullient Joel Dommett, the star-studded event will be held on 8th September 2026 at The O2 London and broadcast live on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player.

 BEAT THE CHASERS

Beat The Chasers sees individuals take on all six Chasers - The Governess, The Vixen, The Menace, The Dark Destroyer, The Beast and The Sinnerman - in the hope of winning a huge cash prize. To build a cash pot, the contestants have to answer multiple choice questions - get the first one wrong, and they are out, but answer one or more correctly and they get to face the Chasers, who offer time and money in order to take them on.

If the contestants get all Cash Builder questions right, they are given a super offer to face all the Chasers for up to £600,000 - the endgame is a nail-biting head-to-head race against the clock. Run out of time before the Chasers and the contestants go home with nothing, but if the Chasers run out of time before them, they will win the money for their nominated charities.
