ITV CASTING FOR NEW 'PARLOUR GAMESHOW' FORMAT
ITV are casting for a new, unannounced, gameshow based on a "well-known parlour game" and will involve pairs of contestants being teamed with a celebrity. For details on how to apply, click here.
ITV recently announced new primetime gameshow 99 To Beat, hosted by Adam & Ryan Thomas, where anyone can win, but there’s one rule players must follow if they’re to be in with a chance of walking away with the cash prize – Don’t. Come. Last. As contestants battle it out against each other, each round will see the number of players whittled down until one person takes the top prize.
Elsewhere, David Tennant will host Genius Game, a format that will see strategically minded players, chosen not just for their high intellectual prowess but also their social IQ, face the ultimate battle of survival.
To win, contestants will participate in a host of never before seen games all designed to not only test their intellectual acumen but encourage them to carefully and creatively use the art of manipulation to outfox their opponents and win a cash prize.
Plus, ITV has commissioned a second series of the UK hit quiz format Jeopardy!, which is hosted by Stephen Fry and produced by Whisper North, part of The Whisper Group. 25x60min new episodes of the series have been commissioned by ITV, which is an increase on series one.
Genius Game and 99 To Beat will air in 2025.
