GREAT RIVER CRUISE JOURNEYS: ANGELA RIPPON TO FRONT NEW CHANNEL 5 SERIES

Coming soon to 5, brand new four-part series Great River Cruise Journeys, presented by journalist and national treasure Angela Rippon and produced by Manchester-based JetSetTV. The series is advertiser-funded by Scenic Luxury Cruises and Tours.

Angela embarks on two iconic cruises to showcase the majesty, culture and beauty of some of the world’s most stunning rivers, visiting the iconic towns and cities that have grown up alongside these rivers and meeting the people who call them ‘home’. The series focuses on two of Scenic Luxury Cruises most popular rivers, the Mekong and the Danube and Angela’s great river cruise journey takes her through Cambodia, Vietnam, Hungary, Austria and Germany.

For Angela Rippon – who celebrates her 60^th anniversary as a television reporter and presenter in 2026 – these two river cruise journeys combine a welcome trip down memory lane with eye-opening new travel experiences.

On the Danube, Angela re-visits many of the towns and cities she knows well to see how they have changed over the years. And she explores Cambodia and Vietnam for the very first time, going beyond the news stories to see for herself how the mighty Mekong has shaped the past, present and future of these two countries.
