THE FAST AND THE FARMER-ISH RENEWED FOR SECOND SERIES ON BBC THREE

IF YOU MISSED IT BBC Three, in partnership with BBC Northern Ireland and supported by Northern Ireland Screen, have announced the competitive tractor-racing format produced by Alleycats will return for a second series.

Fronted by YouTube farming star Tom Pemberton, The Fast and the Farmer-ish sees tractor drivers from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland pushed to the limit as they take on spectacular challenges designed to test skill, nerve, creativity and teamwork.

In teams of three, young farmers and their tractors go head-to-head in a series of regional heats hoping to earn the opportunity to represent their nation in the final and become The Fast and The Farmer-ish Champions!

Tom Pemberton, Presenter, says: “I have absolutely loved being a part of this brilliant and original new series for BBC Three and meeting other young people across the UK that are as passionate about farming as I am has been amazing. After a cracking response to series one I am so excited we get to do it all again soon - bring on the madness!”

Fiona Campbell, Controller, BBC Three, says: “As one of the first shows to be commissioned as a result of the BBC Three creative partnerships with the Nations, I am thrilled that The Fast and the Farmer-ish will be returning for a second series...

"The development of returning formats and building big new brands for the future is one of the primary goals of this partnership – a collaboration which has enabled us to showcase talent from all corners of the UK and to deliver original, entertaining and never-before-seen shows like this one to BBC Three audiences.”

Eddie Doyle, Head of Content Commissioning, BBC Northern Ireland says: “We are delighted to announce that The Fast And The Farmer-ish will be back for another series of high-octane tractor antics...

"The current series has been a real hit with audiences and gave our local farmers in Northern Ireland ultimate bragging rights having lifted the trophy on their home turf. I know we can look forward to more of the same competition and craic among the nations farmers in the next series!”

The first series of The Fast and the Farmer-ish is available now as a boxset on BBC iPlayer.
