ELLE AND NATASIA: FIRST LOOK, GUEST CAST ANNOUNCED AND LAUNCH DATE CONFIRMED FOR SECOND SERIES OF BBC COMEDY
The wait is finally over. The queens of comedy, Ellie White (The Other One) and Natasia Demetriou (What We Do In The Shadows), return with a brand-new series of their critically acclaimed surreal sketch show Ellie and Natasia available from Wednesday 21st October on BBC iPlayer and BBC Two.
The new series will see the return of fan favourites such as Mums and the ambitious Internet Nails entrepreneurs, Donna and Nikki, ready to scale their hilariously flawed beauty empire to dizzying new heights alongside many new characters and some very special guest stars.
Written by and starring Ellie White and Natasia Demetriou, the series will feature a host of guest stars including Steve Coogan (How Are You? Its Alan Partridge), Sian Clifford (The Reluctant Vampire), Jamie Demetriou (Stath Lets Flats), Asim Chaudhry (People Just Do Nothing), Kiell Smith-Bynoe (Ghosts) and many more.
Ellie and Natasia say: “We had a lot of people begging to be in the show and sadly lots of them didn't make the cut but the ones that did were definitely the funniest and best looking and transferred the most cash into our bank accounts...
"So massive congratulations to the likes of Messrs and Mmes - Sian Clifford, Vikki Pepperdine, Jamie Demetriou, Dustin Demri-Burns, Barney White, Seb Cardinal, Kiell Smith-Bynoe, Alex Owen, Rosa Robson, Hugh Skinner, Asim Chaudhry and many more including an up and coming comedian who we both have been championing for a while: Steve Coogan - expect big things from him!”
Ellie & Natasia (3x30) is a NIT TV production, the joint venture between Harry Hill and CPL Productions (a Seven. One Studios company) for BBC iPlayer and BBC Two. The writers and creators are Ellie White and Natasia Demetriou, who also executive produce.
Harry Hill, Danielle Lux and Mobashir Dar (c/o Vibrant Television) are executive producers. The BBC commissioning editor is Seb Barwell.
Watch Ellie and Natasia series two on BBC iPlayer and BBC Two on Wednesday 21st October.
