DANNY DYER TO EXPLORE TOXIC MASCULINITY FOR CHANNEL 4 DOCUMENTARY
Channel 4 have commissioned two-part documentary series Danny Dyer's 21st Century Man (2x60') from Whitworth Media, to air later this year.
The two-parter will see the former EastEnders star travel around the country tackling the subject of toxic masculinity, trying to understand when many young men are struggling with mental health and relationships with women.
The series, due to air later this year, will also see Dyer meet male and female victims of domestic abuse at an integrated family centre. Danny will also appear on the Channel 4 network later this year with a travelogue on E4 alongside his daughter and Love Island winner Dani Dyer.
A source told The Sun: "This will be new ground for Danny and viewers will see a whole new side to him. He’ll still possess his usual bravado, but these are serious issues he’s exploring and he conducts himself accordingly. The look into toxic masculinity is particularly deep. It’s a hugely sensitive documentary all round."
TV Zone approached Channel 4 for comment. More details will be revealed in due course.
