In the new series, audiences join The Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) and Belinda Chandra (Varada Sethu) on an epic quest to get Belinda back to Earth. But a mysterious force is stopping their return and the time-travelling TARDIS team must face great dangers, ferocious enemies and wilder terrors than ever before.

Doctor Who continued on BBC One on Saturday 17th May with 'The Interstellar Song Contest' which scored overnight audience of 2.6m. The consolidated rating - which will include iPlayer, devices and catch-up, will be released w/c 26th May.
Overall, it was the third most-watched title of the day, behind BBC's coverage of the FA Cup and Eurovision. Doctor Who was double its direct ITV competition, and had more viewers than anything on ITV during primetime.
The synopsis for the episode reads: "The Doctor's quest to get Belinda back home to Earth leads to a space station hosting the famous song contest. But a harmless night of fun soon becomes a battle to survive."
