DOCTOR WHO TO BEGIN FILMING NEXT MONTH, WITH POSSIBLE DELAY TO AIR DATE

Reports: Series 13 of Doctor Who is to begin filming next month, and with filming taking longer due to Coronavius restrictions, there are doubts about whether a full set of episodes will air in 2021.

A BBC source told The Mirror: “Shooting safely is a slow process. If there is a series finished and ready to go next year it will be nothing short of a miracle. And it’s going to cost a fortune. Filming is going ahead as planned and we remain hopeful that the next series will air in 2021.”

It's also reported that Mandip Gill will return as companion Yaz alongside Jodie Whittaker's 13th Doctor.

It's suggested that Producers are also struggling to work out how they can make the same number of shows within the budget, as costs relating to the pandemic are increasing.

Doctor Who will air this Winter however, as a special episode was filmed last year. It is expected to air on either Christmas Day or New Year's Day.
