DESTINATION X HITS THE ROAD FOR SECOND SERIES ON BBC ONE, APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN

As exclusively revealed by TV Zone in February, Destination X is officially returning for a second series on BBC One. Applications are now open for the second series, which is set to film this September. Details on how to apply can be found here.

Hosted by Rob Brydon, Destination X is played out over an incredible journey through Europe, a journey where things are not what they seem. Rob Brydon is the games master who takes carefully selected players on board the X-bus and asks them one simple question - where the X are they?

With blacked-out windows, all they have to do is try to deduce where in the world they are, because at the end of every episode, they must place an X on a map. The closest stay on the bus - the furthest away is eliminated from the competition. In the end, one walks away with a cash prize of £100,000.

Each episode sees Rob take the adventurers on another incredible leg of the journey - a fantastical trek that turns Europe into a board game, with twists and turns around every corner.

Epic challenges offer clues to those smart enough to figure them out, but players - and viewers - beware, there are also some red herrings scattered around.

Meanwhile, ITV have commissioned a second series of Rob Brydon-fronted gameshow format The Floor. Series one reached over 11 million viewers across ITV and ITVX, making it ITV’s biggest entertainment launch in over a year.

Now, the giant LED grid is set to light up once more with even more duels in store, added audio rounds and a brand new ‘category steal’ twist. This time the series sees 90 brand-new contestants prepare to battle it out in the ultimate test of knowledge and nerve, all in the hope of taking home £50,000.

Quiz fanatics face off in duels where each of the 90 squares represents its own field of knowledge. The goal is to conquer the entire floor. The rules are simple: a contestant challenges an adjoining opponent in a quiz duel.

They play against each other in the category of the opponent’s square. The winner of a duel conquers their opponent’s square, gaining more ground - the loser leaves the game.

The further the game progresses, the more exciting the duels become and the higher the stakes. After ten episodes, who will be the last person standing on The Floor?
