CORONATION STREET PREVIEW: WHAT'S IN STORE NEXT WEEK, EPISODE SYNOPSIS REVEALED

A look ahead to next week's episodes of Coronation Street, with a full rundown of each episode.

Monday 28th September

As Ben sits at Eva’s hospital bedside, after she was attacked and left for dead, Kit questions Debbie and Carl about Eva’s injuries. Carl describes how he helped Eva to clear up because she wasn’t feeling well and then returned home. When Debbie asserts that she’s going to buy Eva some flowers, Carl pulls out his wallet stuffed full of cash. Ronnie and Kevin suspect he might have robbed the pub and accidentally pushed Eva down the stairs. Will Debbie have faith in her son? 

A hungover Lucy tells Tim she’s sorry and it won’t happen again. Over the garden fence, Tim confides in Lisa how Richie tried to pressurise him into telling the police that Rachel was abusive towards him but he refused and now he’s worried Richie might be putting Lucy under the same pressure. Lucy listens in. 

When Shona announces that she’s going to work, Jodie offers to take over her domestic duties to lighten her load. Shona returns home to find David washing up and Jodie minding Harper. Betsy returns to work at the factory, hoping to get some practice before her college interview. 

Wednesday 30th September

The police take Carl in for questioning over the attack on Eva. Carl protests his innocence. Making out she has a date, Jodie goes to the salon for a blow dry. As David finishes her hair and orders her to go and enjoy herself, Jodie pretends to read a text and, feigning tears, makes out her date has cancelled. Pulling a bottle of fizz from her bag, Jodie persuades David to join her in a commiseratory drink. What has she got planned? 

On Sally’s advice, Tim tells Lucy that due to her recent behaviour she’s grounded for the rest of the week. Lucy’s furious. Tim takes Joanie to the cafe but when he opens his wallet, he discovers someone’s nicked his £40 cash. Is Lucy to blame?

As Betsy struggles at her machine, Sean offers to help her. Hope confides in Nick and Toyah about Sam acting strangely. Nick and Toyah gently try to get Sam to open up but he refuses to be drawn. 

Thursday 1st October

As someone overhears Ben telling Kevin that so far the police have no idea who attacked Eva, the truth eventually comes to light with someone confessing to being responsible for the attack. Who will come forward? 

Sam breaks down and admits he’s been trading in crypto currency using Nick’s name. As a tearful Sam explains how he took out a credit card in Nick’s name and he’s run up a debt of over £6k, Nick, Toyah and Leanne reel in shock. 

Jodie enters carrying a huge bunch of flowers and makes out that they’re a gift from her date and Shona’s impressed. But when Shona tells David she found out from Mary that Jodie bought herself the flowers, David confirms that her date was cancelled when she was in the salon. Later, Jodie rummages through Doug’s belongings and swaps his anti-psychotic drugs for ordinary painkillers. 

Still protesting his innocence, Carl tries to talk to Debbie about what’s happening, but when it becomes obvious she has no idea what he’s talking about, Carl hides his concern. 

Tim reminds Lisa about their conversation regarding Richie and Lucy and asks her to look into it.  Christina eavesdrops and later in the Rovers, Christina tries to pump Tim for information. When Tim suggests that it might not be as clear cut as they’d thought, Todd listens with interest. At the undertakers, Christina confides in Todd. Lisa accompanies a nervous Betsy to her college interview. Will Betsy be ready for this next step? 

Friday 2nd October

ally and Lucy call at the undertakers to order Rachel’s plaque.  Sally produces some family photo albums but Christina makes out she’s got another client due any minute and ushers Sally and Lucy out.

When Nick admits that he’ll struggle to pay off the £6k debt, Idris listens with interest. After Eva’s attacker is revealed, the truth has shattered a family on the Street who struggle to come to terms with their actions that have changed everything. 

Doug eyes the radio with suspicion and then shoves it in a cupboard.  David and Shona watch with alarm whilst Jodie’s delighted to note that his paranoia is kicking in. When a fretful Doug remarks that he can hear static coming from the radio, Jodie turns up the volume but makes out she’s no idea what he’s talking about.  Lily rounds on Shona and accuses her of always putting Harper first.  When Lily remarks that Jodie always makes time for her, Shona feels terrible.
