Monday 4 May 2026
As a grim discovery of a body sends shockwaves through the street, Kit begins a series of tense interrogations and the residents struggle to process the tragedy. The pathologist’s report soon turns a tragic ending into a murder investigation.
Todd struggles to move on from the abuse suffered at the hands of Theo. While Debbie waits for news on Carl, the truth about Megan’s past and Maggie’s actions, are a ticking time bomb for the Driscolls.
At No.8, the house remains a scene of trauma as the search for answers begins. Shona becomes increasingly frantic over what has happened and turns to David for support. Carla and Lisa do their best to comfort a traumatised Betsy and reveal that they’ve postponed their honeymoon so they can take care of her.
Tuesday 5 May 2026
The police investigation into the murder continues. As Lisa begins a formal round of questioning, inconsistencies in someone’s story start to emerge, leading to a public arrest.
The mystery surrounding the trashed living room at No.8 takes a sinister turn as forensic results come back. David is forced to make a difficult confession to Shona about how Jodie texted him, masquerading as her and then luring him into bed. However, they’re interrupted by Kit, who gives an update that the blood at the scene belongs to more than one person. Shona is left haunted.
Melanie calls at the Rovers and tells Ben it’s time Will came to live with her in the wake of the Megan trauma but Ben won’t hear of it. When Ben drops a bombshell about Megan, Eva steps in and explains to Melanie that Megan had them all taken in and mustn't blame Ben. Will Eva get through to Melanie? Ronnie lies to Debbie about Carl.
Wednesday 6th May 2026
As a resident is still being held for questioning, those closest to the suspect struggle to come to terms with it. A startling piece of forensic evidence leaves Lisa and Kit convinced they are one step away from a breakthrough. Meanwhile, a desperate attempt to destroy incriminating footage proves that more than one person has a dark secret to hide.
David tells Shona about some of Jodie’s previous bizarre behaviour but as the couple bicker, they’re unaware they’re being watched. When David hands the evidence to the police, Kit’s questioning leaves him worried that they think he had something to do with what happened to Jodie.
At the Rovers, Melanie suggests to Will that he should come and live with her in Scotland now. As Ben is dead against it, Melanie ramps up the pressure on Will but he loses his temper and storms out.
Thursday 7th May 2026
As the investigation intensifies, the pressure begins to mount for one couple. While a suspicious partner demands the truth behind a sudden change in behavior, Kit and Lisa move in to conduct an interrogation. A desperate lie provides a temporary lifeline, but as police tech experts work to recover deleted evidence, the threat of exposure looms. Meanwhile a seemingly innocent photograph reveals a hidden presence at the scene of the crime that could change everything. Will a secret alibi hold up or has the truth been caught on camera?
When Daniel tells Hope that he suspects she cheated with her poem and used AI, Hope retaliates with a snide remark about Megan. When he orders her to write another poem, she makes one up about Daniel’s relationship with Megan. As Daniel tries to grab the paper out of her hand, Hope accuses him of assault as Mrs Crawshaw demands to know what’s going on. Is Daniel’s career in jeopardy?
Melanie calls at the Rovers and puts the pressure on Will moving to Scotland. David suggests to Shona that they tell the police everything about Jodie. Todd confides in George that he feels angry that Theo hasn’t been held to account for his actions.
Friday 8th May 2026
On the street, Danielle approaches and asks to talk to Todd about Theo. Danielle admits she knows first hand what Theo can be like. Todd and Danielle bond over their mutual suffering. Shona’s floored when shocking news on Jodie arrives at her door.
Daniel can’t contain his fury when he tells Ken about Mrs Crawshaw’s disciplinary action. Daniel vents to Adam but when his outburst frightens Bertie, Daniel tells Ken and Adam he’s heading to the Lakes to clear his head. They agree to watch Bertie, but once alone, Daniel shuts the world out with a bottle of whisky. Does Daniel have any intention of leaving?
Ben reluctantly suggests to Will that it might do him good to go and live with his Mum for a while after what has happened. To his surprise, Will agrees to go tomorrow. As Ben takes some cash out of the safe, Sean tries to offer him some parenting advice but Ben stalks out, leaving the safe door open. As Susie heads downstairs, she’s shocked to see someone rummaging in the safe.
