Maggie, Ben and Eva are gobsmacked when Janine Walsh, Megan’s mother, walks into the pub. Janine tells Maggie, Ben and Eva how sorry she is for her daughter’s behaviour and how she’d like to help. Incensed, they order her out. Janine returns to Megan’s car and admits there was no sign of Will. Megan breaks down in tears and tells her Mum how Will took advantage of her when she was vulnerable and she could end up in prison as a result. Taken in by her performance, Janine approaches Will on the street. What is she up to?
Spotting Jodie outside, Sarah heads over, determined to get some answers about the night of her attack. But when Lisa approaches and tells Sarah she’d like to go over that night again, Jodie invites them in. Sarah goes through the details of her attack again, adamant that it took place at 9.10pm and David the dog was barking his head off. Does Jodie know more?
Nick and Toyah are pleased to hear Sam should be well enough to be discharged by the end of the week. When Sam reveals that he’d like to attend Megan’s trial as it might help him to move on, will Nick agree? Will listens to Ben, Eva and Maggie discussing the court case, the weight of the world on his shoulders.
Asha, Nina and Amy call at the bistro to find Summer already tipsy and hanging out with some guys they met yesterday. When Summer reveals she’s off into town with her new mates, Asha, Nina and Amy are suspicious.

In the Rovers, the family fusses over a nervous Will, as he prepares for court. While at the mental health unit, Sam frets about Megan’s trial, worried she might be found not guilty and then come after him for revenge. In court, Will’s pre-recorded statement plays out, his family listens, overcome with emotion. However when his barrister questions him, Will’s met by Megan’s steely gaze, will he crumble?
With Megan’s trial under way Ben takes the stand and is brutally cross examined by Adam. In the dock Megan paints herself as the innocent party and questions Ben’s parenting.
Jodie points out to Sarah that her timings don’t stack up and maybe she was with Gary. When Sarah quizzes her about the trinket box, Jodie’s thrown but she’s saved from answering by the arrival of David who angrily points out that they’ve left the gate open and David the dog is missing.
Kit and Sarah call at the café but when Jodie approaches, all smiles, Sarah’s discomfort is evident. David calls at the factory and quizzes Sarah about the apparent tension between her and Jodie.
Nick’s worried sick about how the news from court could affect Sam. Covering his misgivings, Nick lies to Sam and assures him that everything went to plan at Megan’s trial.
Hope visits Sam in the mental health unit. When Sam quizzes her about Megan’s trial, Hope clams up and Sam senses that there’s something she’s not telling him. Having found out the truth from Hope, Sam rounds on Nick and Toyah for lying to him about Megan’s trial. Will calls at No.4 and tearfully explains to Tim how he’s messed everything up and he doesn’t know what to do.
Leanne is pleased when Idris invites her out for lunch followed by a pampering session at the Chariot Square. Having been summoned to the bistro, Summer joins Amy, Asha and Nina who explain they’re concerned for her as she’s been overdoing it lately. Asha’s distracted by the arrival of Sienna. When it becomes clear that Sienna’s date has stood her up, the girls urge Asha to swoop in.
Wednesday 1st July 2026
Will tells his family that if the judge will allow him to testify again, he wants to tell the full truth about what happened. He enters the witness box and prepares to give evidence, when face to face with Megan will he go ahead with it? The Driscoll's return home and tell Ollie that Megan’s fate is now in the hands of the jury.
Having decided to stay overnight at the hotel Leanne and Idris enjoy a late breakfast in bed, and Leanne is thrilled when Idris books a second night. Meanwhile Sam reveals to Toyah that Leanne never showed up for her visit. As Leanne heads to the bathroom, her phone rings with a call from Toyah. Idris switches it to silent. How will she feel when a furious Toyah arrives at the hotel and starts hammering on their door?
In the Rovers, David shares his concerns about Sarah with Kit and how she’s been acting weirdly around Jodie. Kit promises to keep an eye on her.
