Monday 7th September 2026
In the flat, someone sneaks out of the bedroom, scuttles past Kit asleep on the sofa and lets themselves out. Kit opens his eyes and stares at a photo of he and Sarah, awash with guilt.
Kit attends an appointment with a consultant who confirms that he has stage three breast cancer and it’s spread to his lymph nodes. Kit calls at the Rovers to find Debbie’s birthday celebrations in full swing. Pasting on a smile, he announces he’s ready to party, knocking back the drink as Bernie watches on with concern.
Debbie makes a heartfelt speech, thanking her family and friends for all their support. When Debbie offers her special thanks to Ronnie and declares him the love of her life, Kit listens, overcome by his own emotions. Todd finds Kit in the backyard and asks what’s eating him up. Will Kit confide in Todd?
Wednesday 9th September 2026
Shona’s emotional as David returns home. Over lunch, he assures Shona she's a brilliant mum and from now on they’ll share the strain. Meanwhile Jodie listens to a voice message from Kit explaining he doesn’t want to see her again. Masking her anger, Jodie heads out. Having let herself into Sarah’s flat, Jodie snoops around.
When she hears Kit and Bethany, she quickly hides. Spotting Harry’s height record chalked on the wall, Jodie rubs some out. But what she overhears next floors her.
Kit accidentally collides with Ross in the pub, causing him to spill his drinks. When Kit clutches his chest in pain, Ross accuses him of overreacting. Kit loses his temper.
Dylan visits Betsy and tells her that he couldn’t feel any worse about what happened. Sally shows Carla a website for a fashion course at a local college which might suit Betsy. Carla’s touched and vows to look into it. ELSEWHERE Tim’s shocked when Lucy announces that she doesn’t want to attend her Mum’s funeral.
Thursday 10th September 2026
When Jodie comes in for a manicure, Bethany’s unnerved. When Jodie reveals that she’s booked a visit with Sarah, Bethany’s suspicious. In the prison visiting room, Jodie tells Sarah she’s sorry for attacking her and there’s something she should know. Bethany visits Sarah with trepidation. Has Jodie been stirring the pot once more? Bethany calls at No.8 to have it out with Jodie but they’re distracted to discover Jodie’s Dad at the door.
Having returned from the funeral, Lucy admits she’s disappointed her Dad wasn’t there as that was the only reason she went. Kit confides in Todd that he’s got an appointment for a CT scan today. Todd puts pressure on Kit to share his worries with his family.
Carla agrees to help Betsy with her application for the fashion course. Lisa’s pleased to see Betsy so energised. Shona confides in Carla that she’s worried David doesn’t trust her to be left on her own with their daughter.
Friday 11th September 2026
In the cafe, one of the mums from the baby group mistakes Jodie for Shona. Jodie happily plays along. But when a confused Doug arrives Jodie gives him a spurious excuse.
Shona’s stunned to come face to face with her Dad. Doug explains he’s back on his meds, he’s got his bipolar under control and he’d like to mend their broken relationship. Will Shona be open to a reconciliation? Jodie spells out to Doug that he’d better not rock the boat. When Jodie casts a longing look at David, Doug watches disturbed.
Lucy slips Shanice some money and urges her to go to the Kabin and buy some sweets. When Shanice points out that she’s not allowed out on her own, Lucy assures her that she won’t tell. Brian arrives back with Shanice, explaining to Sally how she called in the Kabin by herself. Sally suspects Lucy was behind it but Lucy has more up her sleeve!
Betsy’s delighted when Bethany arrives to give her a manicure to cheer her up, all thanks to Ryan. But suddenly Betsy clutches her head in pain, fearing she’s having another stroke.
