The new and returning programming airing on the Channel 4 next month have been revealed.

New Series

1975, in a town outside Belfast. Whilst working one night behind the bar of her family pub, serving a mixed crowd including the locally stationed soldiers, Catholic schoolteacher Cushla meets Michael, an older Protestant married man, who often defends IRA suspects and is friends with cultured Bohemians who enrage and intrigue Cushla.


Worlds apart, Cushla knows a relationship like this spells all kinds of trouble, but they are irresistibly drawn to one another. In a place where loose lips cost lives and danger lurks in the shadows, amidst the fear and paranoia, this illicit affair between Cushla and Michael ignites and burns bright...

Weaving together the lives of several families as they navigate unspoken conflicts, private dilemmas, and fleeting moments of beauty from their disparate cabins, the story flashes back to dramatic events in key characters’ lives before their holiday which may have consequences in the present.


Game Of Wool: Britain's Best Knitter

New Series

In his first major presenting role, Tom Daley will oversee this series, where he’ll welcome 10 ambitious knitters who will take on a series of complex challenges as they compete to become the UK’s first TV knitting champion. 



Set against the picturesque countryside of rural Scotland, which is steeped in knitting and wool heritage, each episode sees the knitters tackle two challenges: a group knit where they’ll be working together in teams on an extremely complex project, as well as an individual knit where they’ll take on individual briefs that will really test their capabilities and skill level.


Hidden Treasures with Sandi Toksvig

New Series

In Hidden Wonders, Sandi meets Britain’s professional and amateur history hunters at four archaeological dig sites across the country to capture the stories of undiscovered treasures as they emerge from the ground for the first time in hundreds of years.


At each dig, Sandi is joined by archaeologist Raksha Dave who will work with the teams of experts excavating the land, as well as sharing the history of the biggest and most remarkable finds.

The show sees the return of the all-encompassing question: Is It Ok? Viewers at home and the live studio audience will be encouraged to ask this question about anything from the week, without fear of judgement. Once again, our three hosts will attempt to step into the minefield of sometimes difficult and delicate areas and answer the questions with their own unique insight.
