CHANNEL 4 COMMISSION NEW SURVIVAL FORMAT 'ALASKAN SURVIVOR'

Reports: Channel 4 commission new format which will see Ross Edgley guide three celebrities through barren landscapes and sub-zero temperatures in Alaska.



The Sun reports that it will be a three-part series which will focus on one celebrity's journey each week after the group are dropped into a remote area of Alaska.


A source told The Sun: "Alaskan Survivor is a new extreme challenge series for Channel 4, which will show a celebrity not just put through their paces but face a life-changing expedition to survive in a remote part of Alaska."


They continued: "Like the celebrity version of SAS: Who Dares Wins, viewers love seeing stars take on a challenge which is totally out of their comfort zone - and this promises to do just that."


Ross Edgley is an adventurer considered a leading expert on mental and physical fortitude. He is best known for becoming the first person to swim 1,780 miles all the way around Great Britain. Other credits include running a marathon whilst pulling a car and climbing a rope the height of Mount Everest.
