CATFISH UK 'AXED' BY MTV AFTER THREE SERIES

Catfish UK is unlikely to return for a fourth series on MTV in 2024, TV Zone understands.

The series, based on the hit US series, sees hosts Oobah Butler and Nella Rose embark on a trip around the UK and Ireland, exposing the truth, lies, love and everything in-between, investigating devoted couples who have never met in person.

Suspicions come to a head as these social media sleuths uncover the mysteries of online dating, from all-new relationships to long-term lovers – not even the most advanced catfish can hide!

TV Zone understands that crew who had hoped to work on the fourth series were told that production would not be going ahead. Oobah Butler also hinted that the show would not be returning in the near future by talking about the show in the past tense in a recent interview.

Catfish UK airs on MTV in the UK. TV Zone approached MTV and Paramount for comment.
