CHANNEL 4 'DEVELOPING NOEL CLARKE DOCUMENTARY' -REPORTS

Channel 4 is reportedly developing a new documentary concerning actor Noel Clarke. Channel 4 stress the programme has not yet been greenlit.

The former Doctor Who actor was accused of sexual harassment and misconduct by more than 20 people in an article published in April 2021 by the Guardian. Noel Clarke denies the allegations.

A Channel 4 spokesperson told the RadioTimes: "Channel 4 has not commissioned the documentary. It is in the early stages of development and as part of this process, the production company has started approaching a number of potential participants."

RadioTimes.com understands that Noel Clarke himself "is expected to participate in the documentary" if it's commissioned by Channel 4. Clarke will not have any financial stake in the project and will not receive payment for contributing.

In a statement published last year, Noel said: "In a 20-year career, I have put inclusivity and diversity at the forefront of my work and never had a complaint made against me. If anyone who has worked with me has ever felt uncomfortable or disrespected, I sincerely apologise. I vehemently deny any sexual misconduct or wrongdoing and intend to defend myself against these false allegations."

The documentary is in the early stages and has not yet been commissioned by Channel 4. More details will be revealed in due course.
