Bridge of Lies, has been recommissioned, with two brand-new series airing on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in 2026.

TV icon Ross Kemp, who has hosted the show since its launch in 2022, will soon be back to urge more teams to “step on the truths and steer clear of the lies” in the nail-biting show, set to be filmed and produced in Glasgow by STV Studios Entertainment.

25 episodes of Bridge of Lies, the original version of the show featuring teams of contestants from across the UK, have been commissioned for BBC Daytime. Celebrity Bridge of Lies, which sees famous faces swap the glam of the red carpet for the perils of the Bridge, will also return with 10 new episodes airing on Saturday nights on BBC One.

Ross Kemp said: “There’s no doubt that my favourite thing about presenting Bridge of Lies is getting to know all our wonderful contestants and finding out who has an uncanny knowledge of Latin plant names, and who can’t tell the difference between a Dalmatian and a Siamese cat…

“I’ll never tire of helping them get across that bridge – even if some crossings are, shall we say, more precarious than others! I’m delighted the BBC are having us back in Glasgow to film two new series very soon.”

Alex McLeod, BBC Commissioning Editor, said: “I am so excited to be going again with this fantastic format. It is so much fun both on and off screen. I feel privileged to be a part of it.”

Gary Chippington, Executive Producer for STV Studios Entertainment, said: “When we came up with this format back in 2021 and pitched it to the BBC as part of their competitive initiative to find new quiz formats made in Scotland, we could barely have dreamed that, just four years later, our team in Glasgow would be gearing up to produce a fifth daytime series and fourth celebrity series of the show.

“It’s testament to our brilliant team, our brave contestants and, of course, our inimitable host Ross that the show has had such sticking power, and I’m hugely grateful to the BBC for their continued support with these two recommissions.”

Transmission details will be announced in due course.
