BREAKING DAD: BRADLEY & BARNEY WALSH HEAD TO AUSTRALIA FOR SEVENTH SERIES ON ITV THIS SPRING

As exclusively revealed by TV Zone earlier this month, ITV have announced a seventh series of Bradley & Barney Walsh: Breaking Dad to air this Spring.

The new series will see the father and son duo head to the Australian outback. As ever, Bradley won’t quite be getting the rest and relaxation he is hoping for as Barney is planning a packed itinerary full of adrenaline rushing challenges to push his dad to the limit.

Bradley Walsh commented: "It’s so good to be back on the road again with Barney. We really do have the best time but I’m not quite sure what he has up his sleeve on this trip, which is slightly worrying...

"I was looking forward to a bit of sunshine and maybe a nice barbecue but knowing Barney, I’ll be dodging great whites or jumping out of a plane before breakfast.” Barney added: “Australia is such an iconic destination – I can’t wait to see us both get stuck in Down Under!"

The last series, which aired last year and was thought of to be the last, saw the father and son experiencing the cultures of beautiful Asia taking in the sights and flavours of Japan and Thailand.

Meanwhile, Bradley Walsh was announced as host of new The Chase spin-off series The Chase Around The World on ITV. The new format will take contestants on a global adventure competition. This brand-new six-part series sees six pairs of contestants attempt to track down the biggest brains in Britain - all six of The Chasers - in undisclosed locations around the globe.

Unravelling puzzles along the way, the winning pair will pit their knowledge against The Chasers in order to win a life-changing prize pot. The Chase Around the World commission builds on the global phenomenon of the most successful and enduring quiz show format, The Chase.

Bradley Walsh said: “This bold new take on The Chase combines quizzing with travelling and will test contestants’ knowledge like never before. The Chasers are already famous around the world, so fans can look forward to seeing them ply their trade in some superb secret locations.”
