THE BIG INTERIORS BATTLE AXED BY CHANNEL 4 AFTER ONE SERIES

This interior design competition, hosted by AJ Odudu, will not be returning to Channel 4 for a second series.

The show saw eight talented interior designers receive the keys to an apartment where they are challenged to transform a different room each week. The winner walked away with a two- bedroom apartment in Sheffield to call their home.

A Channel 4 spokesperson told The Sun newspaper: "Every year, Channel 4, like all broadcasters, makes decisions about which shows to rest, return or conclude to ensure we always innovate and offer viewers the best range of programming...

They continued: "Regretfully, The Big Interiors Battle did not resonate with viewers as we would have liked, and there are no current plans for further series."

The contestants’ were judged by Dara Huang, an architect and entrepreneur with clients across the globe ranging from billionaires to the world’s most famous brands. After judging, hopefuls returned to their apartments and use an electronic key-card to learn their fate.

If the light on their door goes green, they remained in the running for another week.
