Between The Covers will not be returning to BBC Two this Autumn, with the BBC having no plans for future series, TV Zone understands.

The show, which ran for eight series, was presented by Sara Cox who was joined in each episode by a panel of four famous guests to discuss a newly-published book which deserves to be put in the spotlight.
The books were a carefully selected mix of genres that include something for everyone. Each guest also brings their own choice of book guaranteed to spark entertaining banter.
A BBC spokesperson told TV Zone: "After eight series we have made the difficult decision to bring Between the Covers to an end to enable us to prioritise high-impact content that drives viewers to iPlayer. We would like to thank Sara Cox and all the team at Cactus TV for their hard work bringing Between the Covers to our screens."
Celebrity guests on the last series included Sara Pascoe, Sir Trevor McDonald, Alan Davies, Neneh Cherry, Richard Osman, Stephen Mangan, Graham Norton, Gemma Whelan, Richard Ayoade, Alex Jones, Tom Allen, Jo Brand, Ranvir Singh, Adrian Edmondson, Ben Miller, Maisie Adam, Olly Smith and Sophie Raworth.
Between The Covers is available on BBC iPlayer.
