BAFTA TV AWARDS 2026 NOMINATIONS REVEALED, ADOLESCENCE LEADS WITH ELEVEN NOMINATIONS

BAFTA announces the nominations for the 2026 BAFTA Television Awards with P&O Cruises, hosted by Greg Davies, celebrating the very best in television over the past year.



The five programmes with the most nominations are: 11 nominations for Adolescence; Seven nominations for A Thousand Blows; Six nominations for Andor and Trespasses; Five nominations for The Celebrity Traitors.

 


21 out of 44 nominees in the performance categories have received their first BAFTA Television performance nominations: Amanda Holden (Amanda & Alan’s Spanish Job), Ashley Walters* (Adolescence), Bob Mortime* (Last One Laughing), Christine Tremarco (Adolescence), Chyna McQueen (Get Millie Black), Ellis Howard (What It Feels Like for a Girl), Emilia Jones* (Task), Erin Doherty (Adolescence & A Thousand Blows).


Plus Fehinti Balogun (Down Cemetery Road), James Nelson-Joyce (This City is Ours), Jim Howick*(Here We Go), Jodie Whittaker*(Toxic Town), Joshua Maguire (The Gold), Lucy Punch (Amandaland), Narges Rashidi (Prisoner 951), Owen Cooper (Adolescence), Paddy Considine* (MobLand), Philippa Dunne (Amandaland), Rafael Mathé (The Death of Bunny Munro), Rose Ayling-Ellis (Reunion), Siân Brooke (Blue Lights).



Jane Millichip, CEO of BAFTA, said: “2025 has been an exceptional year for television, reflected in 124 nominated programmes that highlight the strength and originality of British storytelling. From powerful documentaries and standout comedy to homegrown drama and the international series that captured global attention, this year’s nominees demonstrate a medium at its creative peak. It’s especially exciting to see so many first‑time performance nominees, showcasing the vibrant new talent shaping the future of our industry.

The six nominees for the P&O Cruises Memorable Moment Award, the only award voted for by members of the public, were revealed on 17 March:

-Adolescence (Netflix) - Jamie Snaps at the Psychologist 

-Big Boys (Channel 4) – “I didn’t make it, did I?”

-Blue Lights (BBC) - The police are warned of an ambush plot to silence a key witness

-The Celebrity Traitors (BBC) - Alan Carr wins The Celebrity Traitors

-Last One Laughing (Prime Video) - Bob Mortimer and Richard Ayoade’s speed date

-What It Feels Like for a Girl (BBC) - Byron leaves for Brighton to start Uni, where she introduces herself as Paris



Voting for the six nominees is now open and will close at 9.00pm Wednesday 22 April 2026.
