YOUR SONG: ALISON HAMMOND TO HOST NEW CHANNEL 4 SERIES FROM THE MAKERS OF THE PIANO

Channel 4 have commissioned new entertainment series Your Song (6x60') from Love Productions, and to be hosted by Alison Hammond.

The series, dubbed 'The Piano for singers', is produced by the same production company as The Piano and The Great British Bake Off. A source told The Sun: "Alison was the natural choice to present this, with her warm personality and ability to catch unguarded moments with the singers, together with chatting to the crowds."

The new series will see the This Morning presenter tour the country and give ordinary members of the public a chance to perform a song which has a 'special meaning' to them. Contributors will be from all walks and are people who love to sing, with the show now giving them the opportunity to have their voice heard.

Alison Hammond commented: "I love the power that music, and singing your heart out has. It can change your mood - put a smile on your face, make you sad, make you reminisce. So I’m excited about this new show, about real people telling us their stories through song. Let’s hit the road."
