Here’s a round-up of the latest seven-day consolidated ratings for week 18-24 October 2021. Figures are courtesy of BARB, and include those who watched live and those who watched within a seven-day period on catch-up.

No surprises, Strictly Come Dancing takes the top slots. Saturday’s live show was watched by 10,408,822 and Sunday’s results show was watched by 8,716,627. BBC drama Shetland returned for its sixth series with just under 6.3m viewers. Countryfile was the fourth most watched show of the week across all channels, with over 6m viewers – ahead of everything on ITV including Coronation Street.

Blankety Blank performed well again for BBC One and Saturday night, achieving 5,419,338 viewers. This was way ahead of the competition on ITV, with Beat The Chasers coming in with 2.1m, The Cube with 1.6m and The Jonathan Ross Show with just over 1.5m.

New series Britain’s Best Woodworker performed very well for Channel 4, with over 1.7m viewers consolidated in the Thursday 8pm slot. Bake Off was the most watched for Channel 4 with 8.5m, followed by Gogglebox with 4.8m. New reality dating series The Love Trap failed to make an impression, with less than 300,000 viewers overnight.

Succession returned for its third series with a consolidated audience of 472,018 on Sky Atlantic. The full showing at 9pm on Monday added another 61,300 viewers. A Thursday night repeat was watched by 64,700.
