Here’s a round-up of the latest seven-day consolidated ratings for week 13-19 September 2021. Figures are courtesy of BARB, and include those who watched live and those who watched within a seven-day period on catch-up.

Once again, BBC One drama Vigil topped the week with a seven-day consolidated audience of 9.79 million. It was followed by the launch show of Strictly Come Dancing 2021, which entertained just over 8.5m on Saturday night.

The top shows of the week were – as always – dominated by Coronation Street and Emmerdale on ITV. The top episodes of Coronation Street were Monday’s second showing with 5,663,708 and Coronation Street’s earlier showing with 5,601,331. The top episode of Emmerdale was watched by 5,412,762 on Monday evening.

On Channel 4, the return of Gogglebox was watched by 4,981,739 viewers, which makes it the thirteenth most watched show of the week across all channels. Channel 4’s pandemic drama Help has consolidated to a respectable audience of 3,223,493.

Married At First Sight UK continues to grow on E4, with all four episodes topping 2 million for the first time. The highest rating was Monday night’s, with 2,429,854 viewers. MAFS UK was the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th most watched show of the week across the whole Channel 4 portfolio – only beaten by Gogglebox and Help.

On Channel 5, the return of All Creatures Great And Small was watched by 3,701,340 viewers. Significantly down on the last series, but still huge numbers for Channel 5 and nearly two million viewers ahead of their next highest rating show.

On ITV, Endeavour was watched by 4,213,728 viewers, and Grantchester by 3,418,163 viewers.
