7-DAY RATINGS OVERVIEW: 20-26 SEPTEMBER 2021

Here’s a round-up of the latest seven-day consolidated ratings for week 20-26 September 2021. Figures are courtesy of BARB, and include those who watched live and those who watched within a seven-day period on catch-up.




The sixth and final episode of BBC One’s Vigil topped the week with a huge 10,633,954 viewers. It was followed by the first live show of Strictly Come Dancing which entertained 9,611,060. Closely behind was the return of The Great British Bake Off with 9.57 million viewers.


Manhunt returned to ITV with a stripped four-part series across the week. It began on Monday with just over 7 million viewers tuning in. On Tuesday, it dipped to 6,342,389 – the lowest rating of the four episodes. The penultimate episode of Wednesday held 6,371,746 and the fourth and final episode was watched by 6,792,918.



Silent Witness continued on BBC One with 5,953,000 and 5,714,000 on Monday and Tuesday respectively. On Channel 4, the return of Taskmaster was watched by over 2.5 million. Celebrity SAS continued with 2m, and Gogglebox with 5.07m. Changing Rooms concluded with 1,151,000 viewers and Sex Actually with Alice Levine began strong with almost 1.1m in the 10pm slot on Wednesday night.


All Creatures Great And Small continued with 3,529,815 for its second episode on Channel 5. Nick Knowles’ Big House Clearout ended with 1,205,009 viewers.



Once again, ITV’s week was dominated by Coronation Street. The highest rating of which was Monday’s first showing at 7:30pm with 5.6m viewers, followed by Wednesday’s first showing with 5.25m. The highest Emmerdale of the week came in with 4.82m.
