24 HOURS IN POLICE CUSTODY RETURNS TO CHANNEL 4 FOR TWO-PART SPECIAL

The hit Channel 4 documentary series returns. It looked like a mystery that might never be solved - who murdered Una Crown?

The former postmistress lived a peaceful life at her bungalow in a small town in Cambridgeshire. She often spent time with friends; going out for coffee, visiting the local supermarket and heading on ‘outings’ for lunch.

Then her lifeless and charred body was found lying on the floor of her hallway, kicking off a case that would take detectives a decade to solve.

Initially, police thought the scene was non-suspicious and, as a result, the crime scene was spoiled for forensic evidence when police, fire, ambulance and undertaking teams all walked through the property, disturbing vital evidence as they moved.

It wasn’t until her post-mortem, two days later, that the death of Una Crown was deemed suspicious and treated as murder. But it was too late to bring those responsible to justice, and Una’s grieving family feared they’d never see her murderer behind bars.

Fast forward 10 years, new techniques mean the cold case has been reopened - can police track down the murderer and get justice for Una?

Watch at 9pm on Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th April, Stream Free on Channel 4.
