2023: YEAR AHEAD IN REALITY

A look ahead at some of the reality shows airing in the year to come.

Race Across The World, BBC One

Starting out at the very edge of the Pacific in Vancouver - the teams will travel over 16,000 kilometres across six time zones all at ground level to the finish line perched on the rugged Atlantic coast, North America’s most easterly city - St John’s Newfoundland.

Love Island (Winter), ITV2

Returning to South Africa for the first of two series this year, lovestruck singletons will be guided through the twists and turns of coupling up in a jawdropping Villa by brand new host Maya Jama.

I'm A Celebrity: All Stars, ITV1

The show is still very much based in the world of I'm A Celebrity - the camp mates will be doing trials and living in the camp environment, but with fresh and exciting new twists on the format. The camp mates will have a hand in their own destiny through a series of internal votes and challenges.

Love Island (Summer), ITV2

Maya Jama is back for a Summer of love.

Rise & Fall, Channel 4

Ordinary British people, from all walks of life and ages, will find themselves as a have or a have-not, either in a position of power or as part of the powerless, as inequality is explored over 18 stripped episodes.

Alone, Channel 4

The six-part series will see ten contestants dropped into the remote Northern Canadian wilderness, where each must survive entirely alone. They’ll be equipped with only a handful of basic tools and must film their adventure themselves.

I Kissed A Boy, BBC Three

This eight-part reality event follows ten single men as they head to Europe to find their Mr Right, and it all starts with a kiss. Before they arrive, the guys will be paired up with their strongest match and as soon as they meet, they kiss.

Big Brother UK, ITV2

A new cast of carefully selected housemates, from all walks of life, will take up residence in the world’s most famous reality TV home for up to six weeks, with cameras capturing their every move, and the nation following every twist and turn.

Survivor, BBC One

20 people, carefully selected from across the UK will be marooned in a tropical location. They will be divided into two tribes, going head-to-head in a range of physical and psychological challenges.

Married At First Sight UK, E4

The new series will once again follow a fresh batch of singles, whose search for love and a happy-ever-after will lead them to saying “I do” to a complete stranger, whom they’ll meet for the first time on their wedding day.

Alan Must Win, E4

Whilst these contestants are busy competing for popularity, what none of the group know is that living secretly next door is a group of celebrities, playing their own game and doing everything they can to make sure that Alan. Must. Win.

I'm A Celebrity: Get Me Out Of Here!, ITV1

Celebrities will leave their plush pads and luxuries far behind as they spend three weeks taking on the Australian jungle with a whole host of surprises created just for them.
